If you have handyman skills and enjoy doing home
remodeling or mechanical repairs, join one of our MinuteMen Teams. Each
trip has specific objectives to help a pastor or missionary family make
their house a home and keep their 4-wheelers, snowmachines, heaters, and
other equipment running smoothly.
If you are a lady with the gift of encouragement and love to serve other women, consider joining us to host a retreat for ladies who minister in the villages. We travel to several regions in Alaska throughout the year for these retreats, bringing in ladies from surrounding villages to bless and care for.
In addition, we always need help here at home base in
Kenai with various projects in the hangar and our office facility. Let
us know if you are interested in coming to Kenai to help us out. You
might even enjoy some great salmon fishing on the Kenai River during
your stay in town.
We request each volunteer to pay for their travel, lodging, and meal expenses during the trip. We will provide you with dates, budget, travel plans, and packing list. Contact us if you are interested. An application will be provided to you. Men and women are welcome. Persons under the age of 18 will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
We are very careful to bring qualified persons with a heart of encouragement and a servant attitude to the villages. You must agree to the Arctic Barnabas Statement of Faith and represent those beliefs when present with us. Your application will help us evaluate how best to fit you in. We do not guarantee anyone will be accepted to join us for a trip.
