Strengthening and Encouraging Women

Each year ABM staff ladies host regional retreats for pastor's wives and even single missionaries who live in the remote villages. Often small teams of women from partnering churches across the US send volunteers to help us host the event and encourage the women.

Dear Arctic Barnabas Ladies,
"I want you to know that I thoroughly enjoyed the retreat you put
on for the pastor's wives. There are things that pastor's wives can
share only with other pastor's wives. Your expressions of love in your
ready willingness to serve us touched me to the depths of my heart
where I am rarely touched. Even the stalest meal and the mushiest ice
cream would have tasted like the rarest of food at the table you set
for us. As I look back, I was sitting at "the banqueting table" the
whole time, prepared for a queen!"

Counting The Cost
Our projected annual budget specifically for this outreach to women is approximately $40,000. This pays for travel, lodging, meals, and gifts for at least 4 retreats. A gift of $50 can allow us to bring some "luxury" items like fresh fruit or milk and a favorite meal unavailable in their village like pizza or fried chicken. Click here to make a donation.

The Joy Set Before Us
We rejoice to nurture vitality in these heroic women who minister on the front lines. God calls them to very difficult and lonely places and He calls us to love and encourage them. The privilege to visit them in their homes, listen to them, pray for them, and let them know we come just for them, fills us with joy beyond measure.
